Monkey completed

I finally finished the Monkey drawing and it has just been posted, as promised, today at the very start of the day. Like I said before: openCanvas is a fun and easy way to color. I think that anyone who wants to learn how to draw and color should start with this program.

I'm pleased I've gotten nice comments so far on my videos. No haters has of yet. I guess I do not have enough views to actually get haters :P.

I am trying to work directly in openCanvas, mixing the colours from the blue print. It should be ready for Thursday :).

New "making of" on the web

Here it is. I uploaded this one yesterday. It was my first attempt to mix photoshop with openCanvas. I think the result is a lot more organic and the coloring is actually very nice. I've embedded the video onto here with a good resolution (640 by 480). The video resolution is better, but still not where I want it to be.

Contracts

I am on a new contract right now. I have to make a flyer for a cosplay business. There are still some details to resolve before I start, but it shouldn't take too long. I might be able to display some of my sketches on here, but the work will mainly be done off the computer. And my camera sucks so I can't really show you what I am doing :(

Also, there might be a chance I get myself hired in a comic book magazine. I worked there as an intern last year and I loved it! Fingers crossed.

Horridly scarred Colored

The picture is now done. I am working on the montage for the video right now. It should be on youtube today or tomorrow (more likely today).

Moving

That's right. We are still making calls right now to find an apartment, but it should not take too much time. We have already packed half of what we have (we really want to move badly). Cross your fingers we will find something nice :)

I have family coming over today :-o... so no drawing time for today :(

Doodling

Wonderful Saturday. Very sunny, not to humid. A perfect day to doodle a bit while I am all alone in here. Doesn't that picture looks like DannyDawriter (youtuber)? The only thing missing would be the glasses.

I am currently learning new techniques to ink and to color. It is hard to find good tutorials out there (Suggestions anyone?). I learn extremely fast I have been told, like a sponge absorbing water XD. So maybe you'll see some changes in my next drawings.

Oh and I would like to have suggestions on how I could make this whole thing better. Is the blog a good idea? What about my drawings? I'd like to have your opinion and/or constructive criticism. And if you guys have any technical questions to ask me, please feel free to ask :D

By the way, the "Devil nightmare" and the "Only Believer"(see below) drawings are not a sign of my delirium haha. It is just one of those things that sticks to my head so much that I have to represent it somehow.

Anyways, that was my small update for today. I got the "ok" to start the coloring of my picture "Horridly scarred" (see previous post) so that might be the next video coming up on youtube ;)

Forever Knights - Horridly scarred

Hello all,

I have been working on a few projects simultaneously over the past few days. Here is an update on what I am currently working on.

Forever Knights:
Is a series of four novels which I was asked to make comission art for. I have done the 3 covers so far and I have done also art for an artbook which will be available with the books. The characters of this series belong to Maria Pfau. I hope some of you guys will get curious enough about the series that you will buy the books when they come out ;)

Here is a preview of the picture I am working on. I am currently waiting for feedback on this picture so that I can correct anything on the inking and move on to the coloring. I will be posting a video of the process of this drawing on Youtube when ever this will be done :)
